[ The comment isn’t as reassuring as the guy probably means it to be, because Peter takes a long while to weigh his options. There’s the real possibility that the guy is lying and will totally shoot him in the face the second he shows himself, but he could also just, you know, walk up and shoot Peter just as easily. It’s not like Peter’s in any condition to put up much of a fight, at the moment. Maybe best to play along, for now, and make a run for it if things start going south.
