It's okay. Lots of people get upset when I tell them about Panem. It's really different, even with all the other worlds.

Yeah, that's what it's sounding like. [ And his voice is still a little sober, but he makes a concentrated effort to brighten his tone. ]

Panem -- name of the country? Continent? Planet?

Country. I think... [Rue falters a little as she thinks.]

It used to be something else, but a bunch of disasters wiped everything out. Then the Capitol started putting things back together, that's that's how Panem got started.

[ He's quiet for a second, then, ] You got anyone teaching how to fight?

One of my roommates says he'll teach me! And somebody else days he'll show me how to run faster so I won't get caught.
