Eh, well, it's a tough pill to swallow, at first, but then I met a guy who said that magical powers on his Earth are totally a thing, when last I checked they totally weren't. It's around then that I started thinking maybe the alternate worlds theory held some water.
[ At first, Peter only responds with a noncommittal hum as he kicks the hell out of a lizard thing skittering its way towards them. It hits the opposite wall with a satisfying thunk. ]
